You will be introduced to non-restricted firearms (rifles and shotguns) basic firearm safety, ammunition, how to operate a firearm along with safe handling and carrying techniques. Minimum age for the course is 12. The course is eight hours in length and as soon as the course is done, exams will take place. The exam consists of one written and one-on-one practical exam (20 minutes each) |

You will be introduced to restricted firearms (pistols and revolvers) basic firearm safety, ammunition, how to operate a firearm along with safe handling and carrying techniques. Minimum age for the course is 18. Youth can take the course but will not certified. The course is six hours in length and as soon as the course is done, exams will take place. The exam consists of one written and one-on-one practical exam (20 minutes each) |

Black Badge | Taber, Alberta | February 27/28, 2021 | Cost is $280 which includes your your first match fee, books, lunch both days and 2 days of instruction. To take the course you will need a firearm 9 x 19 or larger, 4 mags (5 preferred), a holster, mag holders, belts, safety glasses, ear protection and 500 rounds of ammunition. You will be on the range for 2 days about 8 hours or more a day. There is a 3 hour open book exam before the course. There is a $100 deposit to reserve a spot. |

Remeber to bring outdoor gear such as a lawn chair, sunscreen, bug repellant, etc.for outdoor courses. For indoor courses wear good shoes.
